Back to the zoo for the second part of our project.  (which I will explain when we get to the Chimps)

A stunningly beautiful blue eyed cat!

I love these primates!  They are gorgeous creatures! These are gibbons.  They are usually pretty quite, but on this day at the zoo they had a lot to say!

After watching "Be the Creature", I have learned quite a few things about lions (the African lion in the Botswana desert plains).  One of their preys is elephant. (When the rain season comes, the elephants leave and then they prey on zebra.) They often travel in big herds, which make the kill quite easy for them.  One of them will jump on the elephant's back while the rest surround the elephant.  Others then follow and jump on top; at the same time shut off the air to the elephant through its trunk.  They can eat around 9 pounds of elephant in one sitting.  Interestingly enough 2/3 of the hunts fail.  They attack many different ages, however they often go after the younger ones.

The story of this elephant is a story of mother nature, I suppose you could say.  I will say this, it envolves the tire, some poop and a gallon of pee...  that is all I can say. (look close at the image and you may see something you probably have never seen before and maybe more than you ever wanted to)

reellaaaaxx...Can you hear the waterfall?
